Robert C. Slatkin
President of Vantage Franchises
Robert Slatkin has over 25 years of “hands on” Business Ownership, Operations, and Management experience in the small to medium size business sector. He has conceptualized, developed, and successfully executed business plans in both B2B and B2C environments. He has served as a consultant and advisor to various businesses entities ranging from small family businesses to Fortune 500 firms. As a business owner, he has built several companies from start-up to profitability, including a Lending and Financial Services company that expanded to over 50 employees and achieved $500 Million of sales.
As a Franchise Consultant, Robert helps people find the perfect business to meet their personal goals, needs, and lifestyle demands. He works with clients Nationwide and Internationally. Robert has specific expertise, and offers comprehensive services to help International Investors wanting to purchase a business and live in the United States.
Additionally, companies with both new concepts and existing Franchises, work with Robert, and his highly experienced and professional resources, to help manage the marketing, development, and expansion of their businesses.
Robert has extensive experience in lending and general financial services, insurance, and real estate. He currently holds a Property & Casualty Insurance License, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, and Annuities Licenses, and formerly held Series 6 and 63 Securities Licenses. He is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, studying both Psychology and Business Administration.
His two daughters fill his life with joy, and they all love pampering their soft coated wheaten terrier, “Bucky.” Being an avid vintage sports photography collector, Robert focuses mainly on original news photos (the actual photograph used, at that time, as artwork for publishing a newspaper or magazine) of Baseball Hall of Fame players from the 1920’s-1950’s.
Scott Johnston is co-founder of Loyal Patients, Inc., a Reston, Virginia company offering unique loyalty solutions benefitting dental practices throughout the United States. His company has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine.
He served as President of Potomac Falls Group, Inc. (PFG), a Potomac Falls, Virginia based corporate performance-consulting firm specializing in competitive growth, retention, and loyalty strategies for major corporations and associations. For AARP he provided strategic analysis, negotiated contracts, performed due diligence, and helped to implement a comprehensive new benefits program for 37 million AARP members designed to increase member loyalty and satisfaction.
As Vice President of Sales & Marketing of HealthExtras, he helped leverage the endorsement of their spokesperson Christopher Reeve to increase revenues from $1,020,000 to over $220,000,000 in just three years, culminating in a successful IPO.
As Vice President of Marketing at Success Development International, Inc., a national entrepreneurial training organization, he helped the company achieve recognition on Inc. Magazine’s list of fastest growing, privately held companies in 1996 and 1997.
As a franchise owner at the age 23, Mr. Johnston rapidly grew his nationally recognized, service based franchise, and at the request of the Franchisor, provided consultation and training for other Franchises in the system.
Mr. Johnston has consulted to, and negotiated business, marketing, and retention programs with American Express, Citibank, Chase Manhattan, Globe Life Insurance Company, National Federation of Independent Business Owners, AARP, Travelocity, InPhonic, PeoplePC/Earthlink, Henry Schein, and Blockbuster.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing from the University of Delaware.
Scott likes to attend the Nathan’s Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest in Atlantic City, New Jersey, root for his favorite, and generally just witness the spectacle and grandeur of the event.
Rising through public accounting and tax management positions since 1979, Steve brings a significant depth of tax expertise, including the research and resolution of complex tax issues. He has an exceptional ability to leverage tax planning and strategies to help prospective franchise owners and clients achieve their personal and business goals. Steve has served as an adviser to potential Franchisees to assess the financial viability of the franchise concepts being considered. He works with individuals, partnerships, corporations and diversified business entities.
Steven works very hard to dispel the myth that CPAs have no personality. We heard that one time, when he was taking one of those “red-eye” flights, he landed without his tray table in the full upright and locked position!
We are just kidding. Steve is a great guy with a terrific sense of humor, easy to talk to, and most important, very good at what he does.
